About Alex

Alexander "Alex" Robert Hirsch (born June 18, 1985) is the creator and was the executive producer of the American animated television series, Gravity Falls. He voiced two of the main characters in the popular Disney show, Grunkle Stan and Soos. Alex Hirsch was born and raised in Piedmont, California, and he graduated from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) in Los Angeles County, California, in 2007. He also worked on Fish Hooks and served as a writer and a storyboard artist for The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.
